THE ASHANTI NORTH POLICE COMMANDER APPEALS FOR LAND TO DEVELOP INFRASTRUCTURES.


 The Ashanti North Police Commander, DCOP Jude Cobbina, has made a heartfelt appeal for land to address the pressing need for infrastructure development at the heart of the region. 

 The call comes as the Ashanti North Police Command faces significant challenges in providing effective law enforcement due to inadequate facilities.

Speaking at the official launch of Police Ladies Association Ashanti North Chapter _DCOP Cobbina emphasized the importance of securing land to construct modern police stations, residential quarters for officers, and other essential facilities.

 "The lack of proper infrastructure is a major obstacle to our operations. We need land to develop these facilities and enhance our ability to serve the community effectively," he stated.

The Ashanti North Police Command, headquartered in Mampong, oversees several divisions and districts, including Nsuta, Offinso, and Ejura.

 Despite its extensive jurisdiction, the command struggles with logistical constraints that hinder its ability to maintain law and order.

Community leaders and stakeholders have expressed their support for the initiative, acknowledging the critical role of the police in ensuring public safety.

 "We are ready to collaborate with the police to identify suitable land and resources for this project," said Nana Agyakomaa Difie  II, the Queen Mother of Asante MAMPONG .

The appeal by DCOP Cobbina highlights the broader challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in Ghana, where inadequate infrastructure often hampers their effectiveness. 


The Ashanti North Police Command is hopeful that the government and private sector will respond to this call and provide the necessary support to enhance security in the region.

As the community rallies behind the police command, the focus remains on creating a safer environment for all residents through improved facilities and resources.

The National Financial Secretary for the Police Ladies Association ACP Regina Antwiwaa  also stated that the feminine gender in the police service had come a long way to reached such enviable spectrum therefore they should hold themselves in high esteem.

     She added that,much desires is needed to be attained to as days goes by to enhance the image of the institution.

  She also unveiled that, they had established a welfare desk that takes of their vulnerability when the need arise and this had helped to strengthen their association.

      The Queen Mother of the Mampong Traditional Council in her speech acknowledged the efforts of the police in the Ashanti North Command for their relentless efforts in crime combat in the region.

  She admonished them to keep storming the gate till the point in time that they would have the first IGP being a woman
